Radmilovic Opera

So why the two names? I began my career in Opera and Operetta under my Mothers Maiden family Croatian name Radmilovic, with my Great Grand Father being Paulo Radmilovic, Wales Olympian four gold medallist British Water Polo Captain ...despite training twice a day in swimming in my teens I decided to go into the Arts and studied Opera at the Royal Northern College of Music as a Peter Moores Scholar . In the penultimate summer of my training, a group of us were invited to be part of the Bayreuth Wagner Festival ensemble where I discovered the German Repertory House system with its flourishing eighty opera houses. Winning the Elizabeth Harwood Best Singer of the Year in 1994 I got a place at the International Zurich Opera Studio and and spent thirteen extraordinary years under contract at Osnabrück State Opera House. and later St Gallen Opera whilst guesting throughout Germany. I returned to the UK to be part of the Ring Cycle at the Longborough Festival as Freia in Das Rheingold.
Versatility seemed to be my calling card winning the Public Vote performance Prize at the Robert Stolz Operetta competition in Hamburg and in 2009 out of the blue I took a years contract as Carlotta in Phantom of the Opera at Her Majesty's, West End.
